During the handover ceremony this Monday (2), the new Minister of the Civil House, Rui Costa, spoke about the “importance and urgency of intensifying dialogue with the productive sector: industry, commerce and agriculture” .
He said that he discussed this need with the vice president and minister of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services, Geraldo Alckmin (PSB), and spoke about the importance of including agribusiness in the economic growth project: “[Eventual falta de participação] it will not be for lack of invitation or persistence.”
Costa also spoke about the importance of “reindustrializing Brazil”.
The minister said that starting next week he will start scheduling meetings with each of the Ministries to define priorities. The Civil House is the department responsible for assisting the Presidency of the Republic in the coordination of public bodies and government actions.
And he also said that he intends to intensify, working with the Minister of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha, the federative pact and the discussion with governors and mayors. “We will seek an intense dialogue with all economic and social actors.”
Costa announced new names that will join his team: Bruno Moretti, at the Special Secretariat for Government Analysis; Norberto Queiroz, at the Administration Secretariat; Wellington César Lima, at the Secretariat for Legal Affairs; and Maurício Muniz, at the Special Secretariat for Articulation and Monitoring.
Miriam Belchior, at the Executive Secretariat, and Marcus Cavalcanti, at the Special Secretariat for the Investment Partnerships Program, had already been announced earlier.
The minister also spoke about the importance of building a collective project, “when each one puts their personal vanity one step below”. And he said that his team suggested a change in the official nomenclature of the position, so that he is no longer the “chief minister” of the Civil House and starts to be called just Minister of the Civil House.
