On the morning of this Monday (7), an emergency lane was released on Margina Tietê, in São Paulo, to divert traffic in the prohibited region.
Vehicle traffic in the area has been affected since last week, when an accident in a subway line 6-Orange work made a piece of the road fall apart.
Despite the speed limit of 30km/h, cars were flowing normally since 5am, when the emergency lane was released.
An inspector from the São Paulo Traffic Engineering Company (CET) informed the CNN that about 1,500 vehicles must pass through the site every hour.
The street being used for the diversion was created specifically for this emergency situation. The stretch was paved in a few days and is an extension of Aquinos Street.
The route was created mainly to serve the five bus lines of the capital of São Paulo that passed through the local lane of the Marginal.
“Cars, motorcycles and buses bound for Rodovia Ayrton Senna, which travel through the local lane of the Marginal, access Rua Cenno Sbrighi, Rua Aquinos and continue on through the detour built to return to Marginal Tietê”, explained CET on Twitter.
“Trucks, on the other hand, access Rua Cenno Sbrighi, Avenida Ermano Marchetti, Praça Pedro Corazza, Avenida Comendador Martinelli, Rua Barão de Pombalinho and return to the Marginal. Rua Cenno Sbrighi became one-way to Rua Wladimir Herzog to facilitate access to region”, added the Company.
Drivers still have Ermano Marchetti and Marquês de São Vicente avenues as options to detour to the local lane of Marginal Tietê.
In addition, since 7 am this Monday (7), the rotation of vehicles and trucks in São Paulo has returned to normal.
The operation restricts the circulation of vehicles on the City Ring Road from 7 am to 10 am, and from 5 pm to 8 pm.
This Monday, cars with plates ending in 1 and 2 are affected. Violation of the carvery entails a fine of R$130.16 and four points on the driver’s license.
