The Spanish company selling fashion items Inditex suspended its trade in Russiaclosing its 502 stores and stopping online sales, the company announced today in an announcement to the Spanish regulatory authority.
“In the current circumstances, Inditex cannot guarantee the continuation of operations and trading conditions in the Russian Federation and is temporarily suspending its activity,” said the owner company of Zara.
Russia represents about 8.5% of the group’s global EBIT (profit before interest and taxes), Inditex added.
The companies that either suspend their operations in the country themselves after Moscow invaded Kyiv, or are forced to suspend their operations due to Western sanctions are more and more.
