Russia and Ukraine agree with partial ceasefire

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky said a truce in the Black Sea and attacks on the electricity sector immediately came into force on Tuesday (25).

He also said he will seek more weapons to his country to the United States and the application of more sanctions against Russia to break the agreements.

“If the Russians violate this, then I have a direct question for President Trump. If they violate, here are the evidence – we ask for sanctions, we ask for weapons, etc.” Zelensky told reporters in a press conference in the capital Kiev.

The US said earlier that they made separate agreements with Russia and Ukraine to ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea and implement a ban on energy facilities in both countries.

Russia also confirmed it agreed to “secure safe navigation” in the Black Sea, said Kremlin on Tuesday.

Vladimir Putin’s government and the United States also agreed to develop measures to stop attacks on Russian and Ukrainian energy facilities for a 30 -day period – which began on March 18 – according to Kremlin.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he believed Putin’s main goals are to occupy the entire Donbass region, covering the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and expel the Ukrainian troops from the Kursk region of Russia, of which have controlled parts since August.
