Moscow and Kiev, capitals of Russia and Ukraine, respectively, will each hand over 107 fighters who were captured this Thursday (3). This will be the most recent exchange of prisoners between the two countries.
The information was passed on by the Russian administrator of Russian-controlled parts in the Donetsk region of Ukraine. Denis Pushilin communicated the exchange behind his Telegram channel.
On 21 September, the two countries carried out the biggest exchange of prisoners since the beginning of the war. There were 300 people involved, 215 Ukrainians and 55 Russians and pro-Moscow Ukrainians.
In the group were 10 foreigners and also commanders who led the long Ukrainian defense campaign in the city of Mariupol earlier this year.
At the time, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said the exchange involved aid from Turkey and Saudi Arabia, had long preparation and intense negotiation.
