Russia attacks cities in eastern and southern Ukraine this Sunday (10)

Russian forces carried out missile strikes in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv and Kharkiv regions, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday.

“During the night, in the village of Zvonetske — Dnipropetrovsk region — high-precision sea-launch missiles destroyed the headquarters and base of the Dnipro nationalist battalion, where reinforcements from foreign mercenaries arrived the other day,” the spokesman said. Russian Defense Ministry General Igor Konashenkov in a statement.

“High-precision missiles launched in the area of ​​Stara Bohdanivka settlement, Mykolaiv region and Chuhuiv military airfield [na região de Kharkiv] destroyed the launchers of the Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems, identified by reconnaissance.”

Information about an attack had already been released by Valentyn Reznichenko, head of the regional military administration of Dnipropetrovsk, in east-central Ukraine.

“There were sirens almost every hour,” Reznichenko said. “And unfortunately, there are attacks coming in different areas.”

A Russian attack on the regional capital of Dnipro destroyed infrastructure, he said, without elaborating. He added that first responders worked for hours to extinguish a fire and that one person was injured.

In Pavlohrad district, east of Dnipro, a missile hit an industrial facility, destroying structures and causing a fire, Reznichenko reported, while in Dnipo district, a farm building was set on fire.

No casualties were reported in any of the incidents, he said.
