Russia attacks Ukraine at night even after ceasefire proposal, says Kiev

Russia launched 108 drones over Ukraine at night and hit a civil load train, injuring the driver, Ukrainian officials reported after European leaders joined President Volodymyr Zelensky to demand a 30-day ceasefire starting Monday.

The Ukrainian air defenses destroyed 55 of the drones that Russia launched from 11 pm on Sunday, the Ukraine Air Force said in the Telegram Message Application.

The attack also included 30 simulating drones that were lost along the way without reaching anything.

Drones were slaughtered in the east, north, south and center of Ukraine, the Air Force reported.

A civil load train driver was injured in a drone attack on the rail infrastructure in the eastern region of Donetsk, the Ukrainian railroad said.

“Treel proposals are being ignored, hostile attacks on railway infrastructure … they continue,” Ukrzalizanysia railroad said in a publication in the Telegram messaging app.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called the demands for ceasing “ultimatos” and, in turn, proposed direct negotiations with Ukraine to end the war on Thursday (15), an initiative supported by US President Donald Trump.
