Russia blocks website of The Moscow Times

Its telecommunications regulator Russia blocked access to The Moscow Times website, of the English-language newspaper covering Russia three decades after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

The newspaper reported, according to the Athenian-Macedonian News Agency, that Internet providers in Russia had already begun blocking access to its Russian-language website and published a warning from the Russian telecommunications authority, which stated that its website was now blocked.

The Russian telecommunications authority did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
