The Russian Foreign Ministry today called on Azerbaijan to restore its ties with Moscow to the level of “strategic cooperation” after Moscow said some forces were trying to destroy the two countries’ relationship. The diplomatic conflict began last week after the deaths of two Azeris during police raids in Russia and escalated after arresting two Russian journalists working for Russian state media and about 15 Russians as suspects for drug trafficking.
