Russia: Camera captures moment 20-year-old kidnaps 18-year-old for refusing to marry him

Closed-circuit camera captured the moment one Russian kidnaps an 18-year-old girl because she refused to marry him.

The video in question shows three men abducting Bella Ravoyan from an apartment building in the city of Tambov and putting her in a car, which took her to the Nizhny Novgorod region, according to East2West, which cited in its report the New York Post.

The police immediately identified the perpetrators. They are 20-year-old Amik Shamoyan, whom the 18-year-old refused to marry, his 48-year-old father Oganes and his brother Alo, 24.

“Amik was in love with this girl and she was kidnapped,” an acquaintance of hers was quoted as saying by the local newspaper.

“Bella’s father filed a police report and she returned. Amik has surrendered to the police,” he added.

The 20-year-old confessed to the kidnapping, according to East2West.

THE abduction it has been described by some local media as a medieval custom, “bride stealing” that still exists in some parts of the country.

Some reports even state that Bella and Amik are related.

According to the Russian authorities his father and brother have been put on the wanted list.
