Russia: Chechen fugitive arrested for being gay – He was tortured with electric shocks

The СК SOS group writes that the director of the police of Siolkovksi district who signed a relevant warrant for Arsamikov’s sexual orientation, when he had arrested him, he had tortured him with electric shocks in an attempt to get him to confess that he was gay.

Activists of СК SOS claim that Arsamikov may be charged with committing a major fraud under Article 159 of the Criminal Code, while they do not rule out the possibility of even being charged with terrorism. At the same time, they point out that many Chechens who live in Europe and return to attend the funerals of their relatives, do not return as they have a similar fate.

The arrest warrant against him was signed by the head of the police department of the Siolkovsky district of the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the application on the basis of which he was prosecuted was written in December 2021, when the Chechen was in the Netherlands, CK SOS reported.
