The main work on the creation of the robotic platform “Marker” has been successfully completed. Yevgeny Dudorov, executive director of NPO Androidnaya Tekhnika, told RIA Novosti about this. He noted that during the defense of the project, several basic technologies were worked out, including autonomous group interaction of ground robotic devices.
The robotic complex “Marker” was developed jointly with the Advanced Research Foundation. It can be equipped with various weapons, and its weight is about 3 tons. The platform has already been tested at the Vostochny cosmodrome, where it served as a security robot. The head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, positively assessed the domestic development, saying that such complexes can be used to ensure the safety of objects of state importance.
Marker is distinguished by the most advanced autonomous movement skills in Russia thanks to a modular vision system and neural network algorithms that process data. In addition, the robotic complex has an object recognition technology based on artificial intelligence. Key robot technologies, including two tracked and three wheeled autonomous platforms, were developed over three years. In addition to weapons, the vehicle can carry a payload and launch drones thanks to two special modules.
