Russia: Doctors who visited Navalny have diagnosed no health problems

Four doctors, who visited Navalny, were diagnosed with no serious health problems, RIA reports quoting Russia’s human rights commissioner Tatiana Moskalkova, APE reports.

According to the TASS agency, Moskalkova stated that the doctors visited him yesterday, Tuesday, April 20, and pointed out that the doctors are from medical institutions and that in Navalny the necessary treatment prescribed by the doctors is given.

“Yesterday, Alexei Navalny was visited by doctors who do not belong to the penitentiary system, four doctors, who examined his state of health. There is a diagnosis of these doctors, according to which they continue to be given voluntarily, with his consent, sera with food mixtures. “At the moment I have not found anything worrying in this diagnosis,” Moskalkova said.

Moskalkova said she had asked the Attorney General’s Office to check the situation regarding the licensing of doctors to visit him.

Cardiologist Yaroslav Asichmin, who arrived at the IK-3 prison in Vladimir’s Vladimir Navalny district with some of his colleagues on Tuesday, told the Novaya Gazeta newspaper that he had heard that he had been visited but did not know anything. He said that Navalny’s personal doctors did not see any diagnosis and that yesterday, when they arrived earlier at the hospital to visit him, they were not allowed to enter.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, after the annual speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Federal Assembly, expressed the hope that medical care in penitentiaries will cease to fall under the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation. Navalny will have the proper medical care.

The inclusion of the medical sector in the Ministry of Health was requested by more than 90 actors from the field of charity.
