The competent government body for dealing with the pandemic, in cooperation with the competent ministries, is drafting bills, according to which the entrance to cafes, means of transport and shops will be mandatory with electronic certificates (QR).

The government responsible for dealing with the pandemic confirmed that the bills are being drafted.

The RBK newspaper in its online edition, citing a government source, wrote that two bills will be submitted to the State Duma (lower house) for the mandatory entry with electronic certificates in means of transport, cafes and shops and that this measure will be valid until June 2022 .

The director of the Gamalei National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, which developed the Russian Sputnik-V vaccine, Alexander Ginsburg, said that imposing electronic certificates on means of transport was an effective measure against the pandemic, as it would be able to curb prevent the spread of new strains.

“This measure is effective, and the proof is what we saw in the summer in the example of Moscow, when after the mandatory introduction of electronic QR certificates, mass vaccination began. If the certificates are imposed at the legislative level, this will be great.” said Ginsburg.

He also said that it is necessary to fight those websites through which fake vaccination certificates are sold and to prosecute those who create them.

Russian airline Aeroflot is technologically ready to introduce QR codes on flights, and this will be done shortly, company spokesman Mikhail Demin told TASS.
