Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu had telephone conversations with his Armenian and Azerbaijani counterparts, whom he called on to stop escalating activities between the two countries, Interfax news agency reported.
Earlier, the Armenian Defense Ministry announced that Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikian discussed the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border with his Russian counterpart Sergei Soikov.
