Another fine of 250,000 rubles (2,787 euros) was imposed on him for participating in the January 23 rally. The money for the payment of the first fine was raised by the website picketman, while the fine of 250,000 rubles was paid by the “Anti-Corruption Foundation” of Alexei Navalny.
Bodarev himself stated that he lives with his 80-year-old mother, who is unable to walk and that his only source of income is the pension of 22,000 rubles (245 euros) he receives.
The picketman website, created by Novaya Gazeta journalist Ilya Azar, supports freedom of assembly and individual picketing.
