Her Foreign Ministry of Russia issued a statement in which he characterized the meeting of the G7 held in Hiroshima, Japan.
Moscow made these statements after the statement of the leaders of the richest democracies in the world that they will not stop supporting Ukraine in a warning to Russian President Vladimir Putin as Russian forces claim to have captured Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine, which Kiev denies.
In a statement posted on the Telegram messaging app, the Russian Foreign Ministry said the G7 had deteriorated “irreversibly” and that the forum had become “a hotbed where, under the leadership of the Anglo-Saxons, destructive initiatives undermining global stability are being prepared.”
The statement accuses the G7 of fueling anti-Russian and anti-Chinese “hysteria”.
Russia was a member of the Group of 7 most industrialized republics, formerly known as the G8, until it was excluded after the annexation of Crimea in 2014.
In the same statement, the Russian ministry accused the G7 of “flirting” with non-Western countries in an attempt to hinder the development of their ties with Moscow and Beijing.
In addition, Moscow states its belief that the forum has been unable to address the interests of the Asia-Pacific region, South Asia, the Middle East, Africa or Latin America.
