Moscow today warned that it would consider any blow to Russian targets with German taurus rockets as a “immediate involvement” of Germany in the war in Ukraine, as Berlin is considering supplying this weapon system to Ukrainian armed forces. “A blow with these rockets against Russian installations (…) will be considered as Germany’s immediate involvement in hostilities on the side of the Kiev regime, with any consequences that implies,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zaharia said. Friedrich Mertz, most likely Germany’s next chancellor, was interviewed Sunday in favor of the tradition of the Taurus missile system to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, “but in coordinating with European partners”.
