The Russian military in western Russia will return to normal within three to four weeks, Russia’s ambassador to Ireland told the state-run Irish broadcaster RTE.
“All I can say is that in maybe three to four weeks, the deployment of forces in the western part of Russia will return to normal,” Ambassador Yuri Filatov told RTE late Tuesday night.
“We are conducting scheduled exercises with the Belarusian military. They will end by February 20 and these troops will be withdrawn. You can check it next week,” he said.
His comments were broadcast today by Russian media.
