Russian President Vladimir Putin invited all the leaders and the Secretary -General of the Arab League for the first Russian -Arab summit on October 15, according to Russian news agencies today, citing a Kremlin announcement. “I am convinced that this meeting will contribute to the further enhancement of the mutually beneficial, multifaceted cooperation between our countries and help to find ways to ensure peace, security and stability in the Middle East and North Africa,” said Putin. The Arab League, a regional organization of Arab states in the Middle East and in African regions, has 22 member countries that have been committed, inter alia, to cooperate on political, economic and military issues in the region.
