On Wednesday, Russia launched a new wave of drone strikes against several regions of Ukraine, including the capital, according to Ukrainian officials.
Ukraine’s Air Force Command said 21 of the 26 Iranian-made Shahed drones fired by Russia were destroyed, with no casualties or extensive damage reported.
According to Serhii Popko, head of Kiev’s military administration, the capital was hit by Shahed drones on Wednesday for the third time in six days.
“The enemy’s tactics also remain usual and unchanged – with the onset of darkness, the terrorist country launched its barrage munitions from different directions,” Popko said in Telegram.
In eastern Ukraine, another drone strike set fire to a building in the Dnipropetrovsk region, according to regional military chief Serhiy Lysak. He said the Ukrainian air force had shot down seven drones over the city, and emergency services were working to determine the impact of the attack.
In the central region of the country, three attacks hit the Kirovohrad region, setting fire to an oil deposit.
