The Basmanyi District Court of Moscow arrested on charges of fraud the director of the Scientific center of advanced technologies of the Academy of Rocket and Artillery Sciences, colonel Andrei Grundzinsky, state news agencies TASS and Ria Novosti report.
According to information from Kommersant newspaper sources, who remained anonymous, the scientist is suspected of misappropriation of funds during the implementation of state defense procurement.
The TASS agency clarifies that the colonel is suspected of embezzling more than one million rubles.
The Academy of Rocket and Artillery Sciences is tasked with solving issues related to the systemic development of armaments, military and specialized technologies in Russia.
