A passenger plane flying from Tel Aviv to Moscow was forced to change altitude over the Black Sea because a reconnaissance aircraft was in the area, broadcast today. Russian Interfax news agency quoted a source from the air traffic control center, who did not want to be named.
The Russian Aviation Authority did not want to comment on the information, based on which the incident happened yesterday, when a spy plane was found on the flight path of the civil aircraft.
The Russian tabloid Moskovsky Komsomolets cited a source who said the same thing.
An Interfax source said the air traffic control center told the passenger plane to fly 500 meters lower.
The report does not say which airline operated the passenger aircraft, but data from Flightradar24 show that one of its flights Aeroflot from Tel Aviv to Moscow flew at a lower altitude for a short time over the Black Sea.
