Russian Health Minister Mikhail Muraska said today during a government meeting that the re-vaccination is necessary six months after the completion of the full coronavirus vaccination to strengthen the body’s defense.
Muraska said more than 70 million Russians had received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine and nearly 76 million had received at least one dose, while nearly 10 million Russians had received the booster dose after being fully vaccinated. Russia’s population exceeds 144 million.
The Minister of Health stated that 500,000 Russians who have contracted the coronavirus are under medical supervision in their homes where they receive the relevant treatment, while 138,000 are hospitalized. He also said that at the moment about 4,400 patients are being treated in intensive care units in serious condition.
