For explosions at Engels Air Force Base, in Russia’s Saratov region, which is hundreds of kilometers from Russia’s border with Ukraineas reported by Reuters, citing Ukrainian media.
The Engels base is located approximately 730 kilometers southeast of Moscow. It is one of its two strategic bomber bases of Russiawhile the other is in the Russian Far East.
The Ukrainian website RBC is broadcasting two videos it claims show the moment air raid sirens sound and shortly afterwards a loud explosion can be seen.
The Reuters agency emphasizes that, so far, the reports about the explosions have not been confirmed by the Russian side.
