Russia said on Friday that it reserves the right to continue to attack targets in Ukraine and to withdraw from a truce negotiated with the United States, Kremlin said.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov accused Kiev of continuing attacks, which he said, indicates that the Ukrainian army is out of control and is not following orders from the country’s government led by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Ukraine, in turn, accused Russia not to respect the agreement.
Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested that Ukraine could be placed in a temporary form of administration to allow new elections to reach a war agreement.
Kremlin’s spokesman said Putin did not discuss the idea with US President Donald Trump. Peskov said Putin mentioned the idea because Russia is concerned about the fact that nationalist forces armed in Ukraine are gaining strength.
