Russia is taking care of British prisoners of war in Ukraine and providing them with the necessary assistance, the Russian Foreign Ministry said today.
“Do not worry, the Russian side is taking care of them. They are being provided with food, water and the necessary assistance. As well as other foreigners who have been handed over or detained,” said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
Two British detainees arrested by Russian forces in Ukraine have appeared on Russian state television on Monday, demanding that they be exchanged for Viktor Medvedev, a Ukrainian ally of President Vladimir Putin who is being held by Ukrainian authorities. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
