Russia says its participation in the grain deal is suspended “indefinitely”

Both Ukraine and Britain have rejected the Russian claims, with the UK saying Russia is “selling false claims of epic scale.” The Russian Foreign Ministry statement added that “corresponding instructions have been given to Russian representatives.” at the Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul, which controls the transport of Ukrainian grain”.

While Russia has blamed Saturday’s attack on Sevastopol for suspending its participation in the deal, Moscow has repeatedly threatened to withdraw from the deal in recent weeks. The deal was scheduled to expire next month.
