Russia targets railways to cut off arms supply routes, Ukraine says

Ukraine’s military command said on Monday that Russia was trying to bomb Ukraine’s rail infrastructure to stop foreign countries’ arms supplies.

“They are trying to destroy partner states’ military technical assistance supply routes. To do this, they concentrate attacks on railway junctions,” the Armed Forces command wrote in a Facebook post.

On a trip to Kiev on Sunday, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Ukraine could win the war against Russia with “the right equipment and support”. The statement was given to reporters on Monday (25), in an undisclosed location in Poland, close to the Ukrainian border.

“In terms of your ability to win – the first step to winning is believing you can win. We believe they can win, if they have the right equipment, the right support, and we will do everything we can and will continue to do everything we can,” the secretary said.
