Russia: Warnings to the media to cover the war with Ukraine

Russia’s foreign intelligence service has denied the allegations in a statement issued Friday stating “Similar, baseless allegations concerning Russia’s foreign policy have been made more than once.

Among those sent warning letters were the popular radio station Echo Moskvy and the Novaya Gazeta, a government-critical newspaper whose editor-in-chief, Dmitry Muratov, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize last year.

The regulator Roskomnadzor has ordered the media to delete the offensive information or deal with limited access to the websites and media resources.

Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine last week, saying it must demilitarize its neighbor.
