Russia warns of mass influx of jihadists into Afghanistan

Concerned about the destabilization of Moscow’s allies in Central Asia, he says he is the president of Russia. Vladimir Putin expresses his fears and warns talking about the mass movement of experienced jihadists from Syria and Iraq to Afghanistan.

“Several terrorist organizations are active in this country. “And experienced fighters from Iraq and Syria are actively going there,” he said.

The Islamic state in Khorasan (IKH), the most radical militant group operating in Afghanistan, has launched a series of attacks in a campaign to destabilize the new Taliban regime.

The Kremlin has taken a conciliatory stance since Islamist insurgents seized power and hinted that it would invite the Taliban to an international summit on Afghanistan in Moscow on Wednesday (October 20th).

The Russian Foreign Ministry announced today that a delegation of Islamists will be in the Russian capital, with an announcement quoted by the TASS news agency. China, Pakistan, India and Iran will also take part in the talks in Moscow.
