THE Russia will send a spaceship to Moon this year and will strengthen cooperation with Belarus on space infrastructure and space technologyhe stated today Vladimir Putin.
Speaking at a meeting with the Belarusian leader, Alexander Lukashenkoat the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Russian Far East, Putin referred to Soviet successes in space and said that None of the sanctions on Russia can stop its progressreferring to the storm of sanctions his country is receiving because of him war in Ukraineincluding restrictions on scientific funding and cooperation.
Putin said that Russia will develop a new generation transport spacecraft and technologies for nuclear energy in space.
He also said he would send one spacecraftthe Luns-25in Moon the third quarter this year.
Russia will work with Belarus on infrastructure to ensure countries’ independent access to space, Putin said, adding that he had asked the Russian space agency Roskosmos to train a Belarusian on a flight on a Russian spacecraft.
