Representatives of the Ruselectronics holding, which is part of the state corporation Rostec, have officially announced the creation of special “cardiorobots” – these are unique automated devices that can perform indirect heart massage during patient resuscitation. The authors of the project stated that such robots will significantly reduce the load on the medical character, while increasing the patients’ chances of survival in critical situations. The thing is that robotic technology has a whole range of features and advantages that humans do not have.
For example, the creators of the “cardirobot” stated that this device can perform the process of continuous compression of the chest, which is necessary to maintain blood circulation in the human body in case of sudden cardiac arrest. Only if a medical professional is able to perform an indirect heart massage for only 2-3 minutes, which, of course, is sometimes trite enough, then the robot’s battery allows you to perform the same action for 45 minutes. In addition, the robot is equipped with quite important technologies – it will be able to turn on independently when the patient’s heart stops, it will regulate the required pressure and even the compression depth in a fully automatic mode.
At the moment, representatives of Ruselectronics report that Almaz will be engaged in the production of new robots for resuscitation, and the total cost of this project is 329 million rubles. The company will partially allocate such an impressive amount from its own funds, plus subsidies from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia will be allocated – detailed information on the amounts has not yet been provided. As a result, when the device is fully ready for use, it will be actively used in intensive care units, as well as in ambulances and not only.
