Rogozin said that the implementation of the planned plans to launch new satellites will make it possible to provide the Northern Sea Route with all the necessary space services by 2025, as well as to create a satellite Internet in the country. And accessible to everyone.

“It is imperative for a country to have – a country like ours – an independent, sovereign space Internet. And, accordingly, ground equipment should be as cheap as possible so that people can use it. Then we are invulnerable. And now we are under pressure in this area as well.”– said Dmitry Rogozin.

The head of Roscosmos believes that due to the geography of Russia, there is no alternative to satellite access to the Network. He noted that for Russia, where about 70% of the territory is permafrost, laying optical fiber is not very effective.
