THE Russian actor Artur Shuvalov made a move that shocked viewers and went around the world. In protest of the fact, as he complains, how the management of the theater where he works tried to force him to resign bullying him and withholding his salary, stood in the middle of the stage and cut his veins.
“They are responsible for my death” said the Russian actor and cut his veins.
“All these past months they have been trying to fire me, humiliate me, deprive me of my job and my salary. My wife was fired today. I can’t take this anymore. I have no other power and no other options. Please forgive me. I am tired. I have no other choice,” he said in front of stunned theatergoers in the eastern Siberian city of Ulan-Ude and added:
“I want to say one more thing: Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Dyachenko (artistic director) and Natalya Nikolaevna Svetazarova (theatre director), they are responsible for my death.” The actor, who is reportedly also battling cancer, was taken to a hospital, where he is in stable condition.
