Russia’s permanent representative to the EU, Vladimir Tsizov, has expressed hope that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will not be killed in the Russian invasion, as he says a court awaits him. This was stated by the Russian permanent envoy to the EU in an interview with the news agency Euractiv, according to the Russian news website Meduza.
– Do you think that Mr. Zelensky will be killed in the (Russian) military operation?
– I hope not. Because at some point a court will be waiting for him.
– Because he is a Nazi?
– He may not be a Nazi. In fact, it would be quite difficult for a Jew to be a Nazi.
– But what is the category?
– It is up to the new authorities in Kiev to settle it.
– Maybe genocide?
– I do not know what specific charges will be brought against him.
Tsizov said Russian forces would withdraw from Ukraine after the invasion ended. He added that the territories of the “Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics” would be expanded to the size of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. In addition, he denied that the Nord Stream 2 pipeline project had died.
