A Russian attack this Monday (25) in the city of Kharkiv, northeastern Ukraine, left at least 10 people injured, the city’s mayor said, via the messaging app Telegram.
Kharkiv Governor Oleh Syniehubov said the offensive caused a fire on one of the city’s central streets and damaged houses and cars.
Russian forces also attacked energy facilities in Mykolaiv, in southern Ukraine, and industrial structures in Zaporizhzhia, southeast of the country, Ukrainian authorities reported this Monday (25).
The offensive left several Ukrainians without electricity. The governor reported that this Monday (25) the service had already been restored for the majority of the population.
Syniehubov did not say whether there were any casualties and said air defense shot down two drones over the region.
While in Zaporizhzhia, Russia also launched dozens of drones to attack the city overnight, regional governor Ivan Fedorov said on national television.
The Russian incursion left a child injured and caused damage to several industrial facilities and a residential building.
Ukraine’s air defense repelled the drone offensive against the capital Kiev and surrounding areas overnight.
Regional and municipal authorities reported no casualties or significant damage following the attack.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday (24) that Russia used around 460 drones and more than 20 missiles to attack Ukraine last week.
