The government of the Russian Federation has approved the rules for granting subsidies to companies that will purchase and introduce domestic electronics. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. According to the document, Russian companies will be able to receive compensation in the amount of up to 4 billion rubles per year for projects to introduce Russian products, which should be implemented within five years. Thus, the business is given the opportunity to reimburse 50% of the costs, and the money can be spent on products, modernization of production and retraining of employees.
The approved rules provide for certain conditions for receiving subsidies. The company itself must invest at least 100 million rubles in the project for the entire period, and the share of Russian electronics in the enterprise should ultimately be at least 70%. The projects that qualify for subsidies will be approved by the Government Commission on Digital Development, the Use of Information Technologies to Improve the Quality of Life and the Conditions for Doing Business. Applications will be sent to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
The press service of the government says that such an initiative is being implemented within the framework of the state program “Development of the electronic and radio-electronic industry.”
