Russian embassy in Payat: Some want to involve Greece in anti-Russian ‘adventures’

The embassy of the Russian Federation in Greece speaks about an attempt by Greece to engage in adventures “that serve their plans to limit Russia through the creation of crises on the Russian border”, in a post on its Facebook page, accompanying the post with a photo from the cover of the newspaper “Ta Nea”, which hosts an interview with the US Ambassador to Athens, Jeffrey Payat.

To Mr. Payat’s “shots” on Russia’s stance on the Ukrainian issue, the Russian embassy, without naming himself or the United States, responds:

“Some people want to involve Greece in adventures, which serve their plans to limit Russia by creating crises on the Russian border.

They say that “Ukraine has fulfilled its commitments under the Minsk Agreements”. They have completely lost touch with reality. On January 31, the Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine A. Danilov stated: “Implementation of the Minsk Agreements would mean the destruction of the country.” While President V. Zelensky had said that “the Minsk Agreements are needed not to resolve the conflict but only to maintain anti-Russian sanctions.”
