Russian Foreign Minister accuses US of ‘cyber attack’ and warns of consequences

The Russian Defense Minister said today that Ukraine’s military capabilities have been severely reduced and reiterated that the main objectives of the first phase of the Russian military operation in Ukraine have been achieved.

Speaking to officials during a televised meeting, Sergei Shoigu also warned that Russia would respond appropriately if NATO supplied Ukraine with aircraft and air defense systems.

Meanwhile, the Russian Foreign Ministry today accused the US of leading a massive cyber operation targeting Russian state institutions and said it would find those responsible for the “cyber attack”.

“There is no doubt that the cyber-attack launched against Russia will have serious consequences for its instigators and perpetrators,” the ministry said in a statement.

“The sources of the attacks will be identified and the perpetrators will inevitably be held accountable for their actions in accordance with the law,” he added.
