Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov left Bali on Tuesday, a day before the conclusion of the G20 summit on the Indonesian island, according to Russian state media.
State news agency TASS reported on Tuesday that Lavrov’s program at the G20 summit ended “as expected”, without giving an exact time of departure.
During his time in Bali, Lavrov addressed the G20 and met with several leaders, including Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
Russian President Vladimir Putin did not attend the Group of 20 leaders’ summit in Bali and was represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
Russia’s war with Ukraine has resulted in Moscow’s isolation at this year’s G20 summit. Several Western leaders have vowed not to have any contact with Lavrov, who appeared on behalf of the Kremlin as Russian President Vladimir Putin walked away.
