The Russian Foreign Ministry responded to the threat from the European Union and the United States of America for sanctions against Moscow on Thursday at noon.
The West has repeatedly threatened to impose “the toughest” sanctions package on Russia in response to Vladimir Putin’s crackdown on what appears to be a Ukrainian military installation.
Russia’s Foreign Ministry responded through its spokeswoman Maria Zakharova and announced that it would respond in Europe and the US with the “eye for an eye” method.
As Zakharova revealed, the United States told Russia before the start of Moscow’s military operations in Ukraine that it did not intend to hold security talks, which Moscow was seeking.
Zakharova said US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken had informed Russia of the decision.
