The Yamal-Europe pipeline, which normally delivers Russian gas to Western Europe, sent the fuel back to Poland for the ninth consecutive day on Wednesday, according to data from German network operator Gascade, according to Reuters.
The data showed that the flows at the Mallnow measuring point at the German-Polish border were going east to Poland with an hourly volume of almost 1.2 million kilowatt hours (kWh / h) on Wednesday morning, at the same level as the flows of the last 24 hours.
The pipeline is an important route for Russian gas exports to Europe.
The results of the auctions showed that Gazprom has not closed the capacity for gas exports through the Yamal-Europe pipeline for Wednesday.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said last week that Germany was reselling Russian gas to Poland and Ukraine instead of easing the market, blaming German gas importers for the reversal and price spike.
The German Ministry of Economy refused to comment on Putin’s statements. Gas importers did not respond to Reuters requests for comment.
