The Russian division of the Honor brand, which recently split from Huawei, announced good news for the owners of the flagship Honor 20 series smartphones.
As reported on social media, Russian users Honor View 20 (review), Honor 20 (review) and Honor 20 Pro (review) will soon receive a big EMUI 11 update. This landmark event will take place in the second half of March 2021. It is interesting that it is said specifically about EMUI 11, and not the branded version of Magic UI 4.0.
On March 16, Huawei also plans to release EMUI 11 for the Russian Huawei Mate 20 (review), Mate 20 Pro (review), Mate 20 RS and Huawei nova 5T (review). It is natural to assume that Honor will be updated around the same time.
EMUI 11 brings a redesigned user interface, improved Always-on-display performance with new themes, new GUI effects including Long-take Animations, natural gestures, improved sound design, improved multi-window Multi-Screen Collaboration mode (in Russian localization just the “Multi-screen” mode), mouse and keyboard support, and so on.
