Several motorized infantry units of the Russian Armed Forces have returned to their bases in Dagestan and Chechnya after the end of the high schools in which they took part in the Crimea, Interfax news agency reports, citing a press release issued by the ministry today.
Russia announced this week that it had begun withdrawing troops it had deployed in areas adjacent to Ukraine. Kiev and its allies in the West dispute that some units and equipment are simply being replaced by new ones.
Interfax also reported that a train with tanks left for their base in Nizhny Novgorod, without specifying where exactly.
TASS also reported that some 30 trucks with soldiers and equipment belonging to units of the western military sector are returning to their base, also without specifying where they left from.
