Russian journalists have issued an “open letter” condemning the “special military operation” against Ukraine announced on the morning of February 24 by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“We, the Russian media journalists who write about Russia’s foreign policy, condemn the military operation that Russia has launched in Ukraine,” they wrote in their open letter, noting that “war has never been and will never be a method of resolving disputes and there are no excuses for it “.
The letter has so far been signed by more than 70 journalists, including journalists from Kommersant, Dozd, Noviye Izvestia, Novaya Gazeta, RBK, EchoMoskvi, The Bell and RTVI network, Snob websites, the newspaper “Isvestia” and others.
Many Russian academics and science journalists have also spoken out against the war in Ukraine.
