That’s because Benedict Cumberbatch played the main role of the rancher in Power of the Dog. In the story, somewhere in the mountains of Montana, George, the soft-bodied brother of the austere rancher Phil, marries the innkeeper Rose. When she moves, she takes her son with her. Tai is the developer of a dating app for gay people. She herself prefers not to get close to anyone. Quinn is a trust fund clothing designer, a very romantic girl who doesn’t have time to show. Angie is a bright and confident singer and actress who lives with Quinn for free. All of them struggle and laugh through romantic relationships, parental issues and career difficulties. Reminds of “Sex and the City”, but in a different reality.

And despite the fact that the police have practically all the evidence and evidence in their hands, the spouses continue to masterfully confuse the investigation and try to prove that they have nothing to do with the bodies found in their garden. “Father Sergius” (KION)

The premiere of this series from the domestic streaming service KION was expected on October 27, 2021, but for a number of unknown reasons it was postponed until December 8. But viewers can’t wait to appreciate the Russian response to The Witcher with an Orthodox priest as a hunter of evil spirits. Father Sergius is a former priest, suspended from service. And although he is not supposed to be called “father” after being fired, people stubbornly continue to call him that. He himself took up a completely different matter – the hunt for evil spirits. It is not surprising that in the process he has to break a couple of laws. Once on his trail comes the investigator Katya Zemtsova. She, of course, does not believe the tales of evil spirits, so her acquaintance with Sergius is not very friendly. But when it comes to a fight with Koshchei, Ghoul or Cat-Bayun, Katya will have to team up with the former priest.

In 1998, the TV series “Sex and the City” made a splash. In 2018, Taylor Sheridan’s dramatic neo-western Yellowstone, starring Kevin Costner, was released on the Paramount Network. He told the story of the Dutton family, who own one of the largest ranches in the United States, and was an instant hit. The show’s fourth season is in full swing now, but that doesn’t stop the creators from launching the prequel as early as December. The action will unfold, as you might guess, in 1883, when the Dutton lands were still wild, and Indian tribes ruled over them. A family fleeing poverty set out to explore the Wild West, hoping to find a better future in the American Promised Land – Montana. The series will show the path of these people from refugees to the glorious ancestors of the heroes already familiar to the audience. The main roles in the series were played by Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Billy Bob Thornton, who portrayed Marshal Jim Cartwright.
Don’t Look Up

Adam McKay’s feature film Don’t Look Up is one of Netflix’s top hopes for record-breaking views in December. What’s so special about him? That this is a black political comedy starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. Their characters are scientists who need to travel around the world to warn all of humanity about the impending threat of a collision with a meteorite. During the trip, they will have to meet with heads of state, media representatives, and so on. At the same time, almost all the roles were played by star actors: Meryl Streep, Timothy Chalamet, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Matthew Perry, Ariana Grande and others. Interestingly, the film will receive limited release in the US and some other countries (not planned in Russia yet) before its release on the streaming platform.
