Russian rocket with satellites on board successfully launched from Baikonur

Today, December 13 at 15:07 Moscow time, the Russian Proton-M launch vehicle with the Express-AMU3 and Express-AMU7 satellites on board launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome – this is officially reported on the website of the state corporation Roscosmos. The launch, fortunately, was successful – already 582 seconds after launch, the Briz-M upper stage and the satellite vehicles separated from the third stage of the launch vehicle in the normal mode. Now the engine of the upper stage with five starts will be responsible for launching these vehicles into their target orbit.

It is worth recalling that the initial launch of the Proton-M launch vehicle was scheduled for December 6, but for technical reasons (the engineers needed to carry out certain improvements in the upper stage – according to the head of the state corporation Dmitry Rogozin), the launch was postponed to December 12. A few days before the launch, on December 9, official information appeared that the launch of the rocket was again postponed, as certain remarks about the Briz-M upper stage were revealed. However, all possible shortcomings were quickly eliminated, so today, December 13, the launch was carried out without any difficulties and problems.

Now the upper stage must deliver the Express-AMU3 and Express-AMU7 satellites, which have very important targets, to their target orbits. The fact is that these satellites should in the future provide broadband high-speed access to information resources, fixed communications and TV and radio broadcasting services on the territory of Russia. Moreover, recently representatives of Roskosmos officially announced that the satellites will transmit information outside Russia, for example, in the CIS countries.
