According to the Avstostat agency, Russian Toyota dealers sold 3,231 cars in March, while sales fell by 69% compared to March last year.
If we evaluate sales in Russia for the first three months, then the decrease was 27%, and dealers were able to sell 16,925 cars. Toyota ranks fifth in terms of sales among all automakers in Russia, and the brand’s market share increased from 6 to 6.1%, according to the Association of European Businesses (AEB).

The RAV4 crossover became the most popular model, sales of which decreased by 76% and amounted to 1216 units. Second place is taken by business sedan Camry, sales of which decreased by 55% to 831 cars. This model retains its leadership in the segment of business sedans in the Russian market. As we reported earlier, in the Russian D-class car market in 2021, the Toyota Camry sedan became the best-selling car.
The St. Petersburg plant of Toyota, which produced the RAV4 and Camry, has suspended its work since March 4, 2022 due to delays in the supply of components.
