“In Russian scientific institutes and universities known to me, Web of Science has become unavailable”– wrote Alexey Khokhlov. The Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences confirmed that, in general, there is a restriction to all services of Clarivate Analytics, whose product is Web of Science.
In mid-April, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science reported that blocking access to foreign scientific citation databases would not cause large-scale problems for Russian scientists. For this, according to the ministry, the necessary mechanisms will be found in the near future, which will provide access, including to international scientific research.
